Supporting Wellbeing Through Mood Bears đ»
We have been using Mood Bears in our classrooms and wellbeing room to support children in recognising, understanding and talking about their emotions. The bears provide a simple, childâfriendly way for learners to identify how they are feeling and to develop emotional literacy in a safe and supportive environment.
As part of this work, the children have drawn their favourite Mood Bears, linking colours and expressions to different emotions. This creative activity has encouraged discussion, reflection and selfâexpression, helping children to build confidence in naming their feelings and understanding that all emotions are valid.
It has been wonderful to see the children engaging so positively with the Mood Bears and using them as a tool to support their wellbeing throughout the school day.
