The Global Gang

Our Global Gang members this year are supported by Miss Davies. They are working hard to achieve the RCT Bronze Eco award. They are currently creating a Global Gang Eco Charter along with looking at ways to reduce the schools carbon footprint.

The Global Gangs' next project is to launch a competition across school to design a new Global Gang logo, which will be placed around school to encourage pupils, staff and visitors to turn off lights, power sources etc.

When your child brings a reusable water bottle to school and refills it using our onsite water cooler, you are helping the environment and saving single use plastic going to landfill. The global gang will update you here every month to show you with how many bottles we've saved.

Pupils from Dosbarth Oak and Dosbarth Palm helped clean up their community during their recent topic. Both classes were very alarmed with how much rubbish was around the area. 

Over the past year Dosbarth Palm have been working with 2B Enterprising and Principality Building Society on an exciting programme. The project was created to inspire the next generation of ambitious, healthy, enterprising and informed citizens, and introducing them to valuable life experiences and key skills. 

The children were given a series of creative and thought provoking books entitled ‘The Bumbles of Honeywood.’ The stories transport the children to the enterprising world of the Bumble Family. Sharing valuable lessons and challenges with their friends in Honeywood. Themes include sustainability, well-being, inclusion. friendship and diversity.

The children were set a challenge at the end of the first session, they were given a jar of honey and challenged to turn the honey into money. The worked together to
