Worship Council

Our worship council is made up of pupils from years one to six. They are involved in the planning of whole school, phase and class worship sessions and make valued contributions to all other celebrations in the school including Harvest festival, Christmas and Easter. They have had the opportunity to work with St John Baptist pupils to create a school prayer and they look forward to making further links in the future.

The journey to our new School Prayer

Thursday 2nd February

Visit to St John's the Baptist High School

Our Worship Squad have had the most fantastic morning at St John’s High School.

Together with the help of the SJB worship council, we have written together our new school prayer.

Our pupils were an absolute credit to us. Their behaviour was impeccable and their ideas were incredible.

Both Worship councils worked collaboratively to thinking about when, where, why and how we pray? We looked at key vocabulary from the Lord's Prayer and the School Prayer from SJB. The both councils then gathered together their ideas of what they felt would reflect our school and our school community.

Collaboratively, a new school prayer was structured and agreed by all pupils.

We are so happy to finally have a new school prayer and share it with you.
